For as long as this restaurant has been around, you know you are someplace that is one of a kind… it has that 80’s feel from the decor… the booths were big & comfortable, four of us & no elbows bumped. The staff was super friendly, & none of our drinks went empty… the menu had options for everybody… some items I’ve never seen before, you can get a thanksgiving dinner plate WOW I had the fish which was very fresh & I was full halfway through… I wasn’t a fan of the gravy, but the mashed potatoes honestly didn’t need it because it was good on its own… plenty of pie choices, & they slice a whole pie into 4 pieces, everything is a generous portion here!!!

Nostalgic and delicious. Look, it's not new American or food with a modern twist. It's a place that takes you back in time when dishes have only a few components. They really nail those components though. Both the meatloaf and turkey were excellent and neither were dry. Mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned. Server was very friendly. What's not to love?

Very good food and friendly staff. The decor may be a bit dated, but so is my mother's house. We were somewhat concerned about the area but we've never had issues with our vehicle in the parking lot. Both the adult and the kids meals are very generous. My kids are excited every time we mention going here which is refreshing for us as they're not usually good eaters. The warm bread that they serve to each table is always amazing. My go to is the roast beef which hasn't ever let me down. I hear the pie is excellent, too!

So many people ask why our food tastes so good, we thought we'd explain. We discovered that slowly roasted meat is vastly superior to meat roasted the conventional way. Adelle Davis, author of "Let's Cook it Right" and "Let's Eat Right to Keep Fit," said that slowly roasted meat is "amazingly delicious, juicy and tender."
The reason we serve tasty, tender and nutritious meat is that we use our own specially-built, slow-roasting ovens. Our food is also more nutritious because low heat preserves the protein, vitamins and minerals that ordinary cooking destroys.
We take care to serve the healthiest food we can. So of course we don't use chemical tenderizers. When we fry, we use only 100% canola oil, which is lower in fat and has no cholesterol. We bake our own bread and rolls to insure freshness. For our pizza we make our own dough, grind our own cheese, use only fresh vegetables and we even make our own sausage.
